Most hardware stores (Ace, Lowe’s, Home Depot, even Wal-Mart) offer complimentary paint swatches as helpful hints for homeowners. However, you don’t need to be a homeowner to take advantage of this material, which is the equivalent to cardstock material. The size of this project depends on the size of the paint swatch. I chose a swatch that measures up to a matchbook when folded, and will fit nicely in one of those little pockets in my purse that is intended as a cellphone holder, but since mine doesn’t fit, it’s open for business!

First, cut the computer paper to be a width slightly smaller than that of the paint swatch. I chose to cut off the top of my paint swatch because “valentino” was a little too red and not enough pink for my liking (ha). In turn, my swatch was a little shorter (three pallettes, not four).
Next, fold the bottom pallette, “cosmo pink,” to meet the half and then from that point, leave about a little space and fold again. Place the computer paper squares inside of this small flap and secure with a staple. The large flap will need to be folded just as the bottom. Remember to allow room for the top flap to meet the bottom, since it is just like a matchbook!

…annnd if you have some time to spare, why not add a personal touch! Whatever fits your style: buttons, ribbon, paint, sparkles, rhinestones, etc.!
`
These are also an extra personalized/inexpensive route of making your own party favors for a baby shower, birthday, or even a laid-back wedding reception!
